Welcome

Dear Reader,

My blog has moved into 2011 with a new template that will hopefully provide a soft background to the juice of it all, namely, the tales of my adventures. Those who have given a damn over the course of the last three years of my blogging will have quickly noticed the change, while those more perceptive still will have seen that the title has slightly changed. "On The Move" is still the same as it was before and just as relevant, however, the subtitle "Stories from my travels abroad" has changed to "Stories from my life abroad." I believe that that single word of difference speaks volumes. I no longer see this undertaking as a mere hiatus from a "normal" life. I have fully accepted that my life, as it is now, is living abroad, learning languages and cultures, and being challenged and encouraged by those adventures. I love this kind of a life and therefore have no choice but to live it this way.

I am as motivated as ever to share my passion with you, reader, whoever you are, by way of writing stories about the experiences. I am also, very slowly, for fear that I might not do it right, beginning to write other short stories, mainly fiction, that I willl also begin to put on the blog for you to have a gander at. I welcome all critique, though it may come with follow up questions that might make it seem like I didn't welcome it at all. My apologies in advance. But please do have a look in the section entitled "Writing Projects" which will link you to the writings.

Finally, thank you for providing an audience to my life. I sincerely regard your reading of my words as a very genuine practice of compassion towards me, no matter what your reaction to what I write may be. You have taken time from your own worries, passions, love and anger, in order to venture briefly into mine. For this, I can only be endlessly appreciative.

With all my thanks,

Josh
